Ghana’s clean energy market is expanding, but access to appropriate financing from Ghanaian banks for both clean energy companies and consumers remain a key constraint. This closed-door roundtable convenes senior executives from Ghanaian commercial banks to examine what is holding back greater flows of finance and how clean energy financing, particularly for distributed solar solutions for households and commercial and industrial (C&I) consumers and electric mobilitycan be scaled in a commercially viable and risk-appropriate manner.
The discussion will inform GCCE’s policy advocacy and engagement with government, with the aim of identifying practical solutions that address financing bottlenecks, strengthen bank participation, and accelerate the deployment of clean energy solutions in Ghana.
