The Government of Ghana (GoG) has indicated its intention to operationalize the Renewable Energy Fund provided for under the Renewable Energy Amendment Act, 2020 (Act 1045). The Fundnow approved by Cabinet and to be known as the Renewable Energy Investment & Green Transition (REIGT) Fund will be a key instrument for mobilizing capital to support Ghana’s clean energy transition. However, questions remain around its practical design, governance arrangements, and alignment with market realities.
This closed-door roundtable will bring together renewable energy companies, energy sector stakeholders, development partners, and policymakers to examine how the REI> Fund can be operationalized in a way that is credible, investable, and responsive to real financing needs. Discussions will focus on fund design, governance, and market alignment, with outcomes informing GCCE and IPPG’s s policy advocacy and engagement with the Ministry of Energy and Green Transition (MoEGT) to support effective implementation.
This event is strictly by invitation. For more information, please email us at chamber@cleanenergyghana.org
